About the Role

Evenly is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Operations to partner closely with the Chief Operating Officer and executive team to lead and scale mission-critical initiatives that accelerate growth, improve operational effectiveness, and elevate the customer and patient experience. This role is critical to building the infrastructure and systems that will support Evenly’s next stage of growth as we scale nationwide.

The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of scaling start-ups or high-growth businesses, with deep operational expertise and the ability to turn strategy into execution. This is a hands-on executive role for a results-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about building scalable, efficient, and customer-centric operations. This is a full-time, in-office leadership role based at Evenly’s corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Initiatives  

  Design, lead, and operationalize high-impact strategic projects across the company, including the development of a frictionless, high-satisfaction patient journey and improved conversion from pending sales leads.

  • Scale Systems & Infrastructure  

  Build and implement scalable systems, tools, and workflows that enable Evenly to expand rapidly while maintaining operational excellence and a superior customer experience.

  • Operational Strategy & Execution  

  Evaluate and optimize workflows, team structures, and performance management systems to ensure operational readiness for scale. Architect repeatable, data-driven processes that drive efficiency and accountability.

  • Start-up Growth Leadership  

  Bring first-hand experience scaling operations in a start-up or high-growth environment, including building new teams, launching new services, and rapidly iterating on processes and systems.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration  

  Partner with clinical, sales, marketing, product, and support teams to align operational priorities and ensure seamless execution across departments.

  • Sales & Growth Enablement  

  Design and refine operations that increase conversion from pending leads and improve the performance of distributed teams across dental practices.

  • Technology & Process Innovation  

  Identify and implement new technologies to automate workflows, enhance team productivity, and improve the patient and partner experience.

  • Executive Project Ownership  

  Drive the execution of high-priority initiatives on behalf of the CEO and COO. Provide executive-level insights, reporting, and follow-through on critical operational decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Start-Up Operator with direct experience in high-growth, early-to-mid stage companies, including scaling from initial traction to national or enterprise-level operations.
  • Strategic Builder with 10+ years in operations, consulting, or strategy roles, including leadership/COO experience in healthcare, tech-enabled services, or consumer platforms.
  • Process-Oriented Leader with a systems mindset and a strong ability to create structure, drive alignment, and optimize performance at scale.
  • Execution-Focused and results-driven, with a history of delivering complex initiatives on time and on target.
  • Cross-Functional Influencer who excels at stakeholder alignment and communication across departments and levels.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker with fluency in metrics, reporting, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Tech-Savvy Innovator with experience leveraging automation and digital tools to transform operations and the customer journey.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset focused on improving satisfaction, outcomes, and operational consistency at every stage of the patient experience.
  • Prior experience in top-tier management consulting, healthcare services, or platform-based operations is a strong plus.
