About the Role

Saie is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and evolve our end-to-end global operations strategy—including supply planning, sourcing, purchasing, fulfillment, logistics, and data management—to support rapid growth and expanding margin goals. You will bring structure to the hustle, translating our brand vision into operational reality without compromising speed, creativity, or consumer experience.

This role sits at the intersection of product, finance, retail operations, and brand strategy. You’ll be accountable for building scalable systems, empowering high-performing teams, and removing barriers so each function can execute with confidence and agility. As a strategic, hands-on leader, you’ll shape how we scale responsibly and sustainably and drive operational excellence that fuels growth, improves margin, and elevates our customer experience.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Set the vision and strategy for end-to-end operations to support the company’s growth trajectory from 1x to 3x and beyond
  • Build scalable infrastructure, tools, and processes that empower the team to execute with speed and clarity
  • Drive operational alignment across cross-functional departments while ensuring the end customer experience remains a core focus. Reinforcing that every function, from planning to fulfillment, contributes to client satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Actively engage with cross-functional partners to identify bottlenecks, clarify priorities, and remove barriers to execution, particularly around product launches, promotional events, and seasonal cycles
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team to guide strategic decisions on margin, scale, and operational risk
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement

Supply Planning & Inventory Strategy

  • Provide strategic leadership over demand and supply planning across all major channels including Sephora, DTC, and Amazon
  • Ensure the team has the structure, tools, and visibility needed to support new product development cycles and manage the inherent volatility of a high-growth beauty business
  •  Ensure planning processes are aligned with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and the C-suite to support accurate forecasting and business alignment
  • Support the team in driving inventory policies that balance product availability with capital efficiency, keeping inventory value low without compromising service
  • Help implement planning strategies such as component staging, MOQ alignment, and segmentation models that mitigate risk and optimize cash flow
  • Lead S&OP alignment and cadence to ensure full cross-functional visibility and support

Manufacturing, Sourcing & Procurement

  • Define sourcing strategy across packaging, raw materials, and finished goods with an emphasis on cost, lead time, and supplier flexibility
  • Evaluate current purchasing operations and remove roadblocks that limit cost efficiency, process clarity, or vendor responsiveness
  • Guide the team in strategic supplier evaluations to ensure partners can scale with the business in capacity, cost structure, and quality performance
  • Own the executive-level relationships with key suppliers and manufacturing partners to drive alignment, unlock cost savings opportunities, and support long-term business objectives
  • Support high-impact negotiations and escalation where executive involvement is required
  • Provide structure and oversight to RFQ processes, supplier scorecards, and long-term strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Ensure sourcing strategies support cost reduction, speed to market, innovation, and sustainability goals

Fulfillment, Logistics, & Customer Experience

  • Oversee fulfillment strategy and partner with 3PL to ensure consistent, on-time, and accurate delivery across channels
  • Remove any operational barriers that impact order turnaround, retailer compliance, or delivery cost
  • Guide the team in optimizing freight strategy, planning for seasonal surges, and addressing logistics challenges
  • Ensure SOPs support scalability, visibility, and channel-specific service expectations

Margin Optimization & Financial Performance Management

  • Partner with Finance to lead margin planning, COGS budgeting, and operational forecasting
  • Ensure operational KPIs such as inventory turns, fulfillment cost, and in-stock performance are tracked, understood, and acted on
  • Drive ongoing cost improvement while supporting service, speed, and brand standards

Team Leadership and Culture

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, lean team across production planning, purchasing, logistics, and data management
  • Identify and remove barriers that limit execution, morale, or clarity
  • Provide structure, coaching, and tools that help each function thrive and scale
  • Be a highly visible, accessible leader who creates a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Identify capability gaps and scale the function as the business grows

Who You Are

  • 10-15+ or more years of experience leading operations or supply chain in beauty, personal care, or high-growth CPG
  • You have led supply chains through hyper-growth, private equity investment, and multi-channel expansion
  • Deep understanding of prestige retail, with Sephora experience being a strong plus, as well as deep fluency in DTC and Amazon fulfillment models
  • Experienced in managing contract manufacturers and 3PL’s. Proven track record of executive supplier engagement, operational strategy, and translating brand goals into supplier execution
  • Skilled at building and empowering teams across supply planning, sourcing, fulfillment, logistics, and ERP systems
  • Hands-on leader who is deeply engaged and skilled at removing roadblocks without micromanaging
  • Expert in ERP platforms such as Cin7, SAP, NetSuite and how to use systems to increase operational leverage
  • Accountable, structured, and committed to building scalable processes that support long-term growth
  • Known for creating clarity in complex environments and building teams that thrive under pressure

What You Value

  • Fast, clear decision-making
  • Transparent collaboration
  • Product and brand obsession
  • Data as a tool, not a crutch
  • Lean teams, strong execution
