Position Summary

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing company wide operations, strategic growth initiatives, and organizational performance across all regions and service lines. This executive leader partners with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive operational excellence, financial performance, client satisfaction, and long term growth. The VP provides coaching and direction to senior leaders and ensures alignment between company strategy and field execution.

Location

  • Remote, with candidates based anywhere west of the Mississippi River.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly oversees senior leadership roles such as Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, and functional department heads.
  • Participates in executive hiring, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Establishes performance expectations and accountability measures for senior management.
  • Provides executive oversight of operational, financial, and service performance across the organization.

Detailed Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop key leaders within their hierarchy, leveraging formal and informal tools to improve their performance, strengthen their career path, and drive the organization forward.
  • Partner with the CEO to execute the company's strategic vision and long term growth plans.
  • Oversee operational performance across regions, branches, and service divisions.
  • Monitor financial performance, revenue growth, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure alignment between operations, client service, business development, and support functions.
  • Support major client relationships, contract negotiations, and high level issue resolution.
  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality, and organizational scalability.
  • Oversee risk management, compliance, and regulatory adherence across the organization.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
  • Provide executive leadership and mentorship to senior managers and directors.
  • Represent the company in executive client meetings, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Report performance metrics, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as required to support company growth and operational success.

Required Skills/Abilities

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, criminal justice, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced leadership credential preferred.
  • Ten to fifteen years of progressive leadership experience required.
  • Experience in contract security, staffing, facilities services, or other labor intensive service industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations and managing senior leadership teams preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent travel to branch offices, client locations, and executive meetings required.
  • Must be able to stand and walk during site visits and operational reviews.

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent travel (up to 80%) within the region is required.
