Job Title: Retail Marketing Specialist

Duration: 5+ Months  

Location: Remote (Bay Area, LA, Miami)  

The short-term Retail Marketing Specialist will support the development, coordination, and execution of regional retail marketing initiatives and activations. This role is essential in helping assess market conditions, analyze competitive activity, and support marketing strategies that drive brand visibility and sales performance at a local and regional level. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented marketer with experience in regional activations, data analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct local and regional market research to identify growth opportunities, consumer behavior trends, and competitor strategies.
  • Support the planning and execution of retail activations and regional marketing programs in collaboration with field teams and retail partners.
  • Forecast and track the impact of regional campaigns and activation performance using relevant KPIs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and prepare post-activation reports with actionable takeaways.
  • Assist in developing localized marketing materials and retail toolkits tailored to the regional audience.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and assist in managing budgets and timelines for regional activations.
  • Gather and analyze data on competitors, including pricing, distribution, and retail marketing tactics.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all local and regional marketing touchpoints.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across regions simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data and applying insights to strategic decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of retail operations, activation logistics, and regional consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, project management tools, analytics dashboards).

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, ideally with a focus on retail or field marketing.
  • Experience supporting or executing regional activations is highly preferred.
