Location: Fort Myers / Southwest Florida Market
Salary Range: Starting at $95,000 annually
Introduction
We are seeking a Director of Finance and Operations to join a financially independent, fast-growing retail furniture company based in Fort Myers, Florida. This is a unique opportunity for a bilingual (Mandarin-English) finance professional to play a vital leadership role in a dynamic and expanding organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, operational oversight experience, and a hands-on, growth-focused mindset. This newly created role supports the President/CFO and is ideal for someone looking to make a long-term impact and grow into a future executive leadership role.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and operations roles
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning, and compliance
• Experience managing or supervising accounting/finance teams
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Myers, FL
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• CPA, CMA, or MBA highly preferred
• Experience in retail or multi-location operations
• Knowledge of ERP systems and familiarity with IBM AS400
• Experience working in a bilingual or international business environment
• Comfortable working directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Develop and execute financial strategies that align with company growth goals
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations: treasury, expense control, inventory, budgeting, and tax reporting
• Manage operational functions including logistics, facility maintenance, store operations, and property insurance
• Supervise the Accounting Department and partner with the Distribution Manager and Store Managers
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations
• Support the President/CFO in strategic planning and high-level decision-making
• Communicate with overseas partners (Taiwan) in Mandarin; manage a 12-hour time difference when needed
• Attend periodic travel within Florida and one annual business trip to North Carolina
