Digital Marketing Associate

$70-75k /year | Remote | Reports to Chief Marketing Officer

About the Role

If you're a creative problem-solver with taste—someone who came to marketing through psychology, research, English lit, journalism, or some strange interdisciplinary path—and you've never quite belonged in a typical marketing role, read on.

Kiingo AI is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to create high-end B2B content for executive audiences. You'll create content for CEOs, COOs, and operations leaders at established companies who are skeptical of AI hype and allergic to buzzwords. This isn't social media marketing in the conventional sense—it's business communication that happens to live on LinkedIn, in inboxes, and on our website.

You'll report directly to the CMO, an interdisciplinary strategist with graduate training in psychology and a background in experimental art. We're building something new, and we need someone who's quick on their feet, thinks clearly, and can figure things out—not just execute a playbook.

What You'll Do

Write and create content:

  • Write LinkedIn posts for our CEO and company page that translate complex AI implementation concepts into clear, compelling language for skeptical executives
  • Develop newsletters, case studies, and thought leadership content
  • Create and edit video content; repurpose our extensive bootcamp recordings and webinars into multiple formats
  • Adapt content for each channel—LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram—understanding what works where
  • Create + manage email marketing for MOF lead nurture

Research and learn:

  • Research competitive landscape, industry trends, and client contexts to inform content strategy
  • Experiment constantly with new AI tools—this is core to our business and your development
  • Stay current on the AI landscape and bring what you learn back to the team

Support paid ad campaigns & broader marketing:

  • Develop creatives for ad campaigns
  • Support email campaigns and outreach
  • Pull metrics across channels, identify patterns, and turn insights into recommendations
  • Update website pages as needed
  • Build and improve systems as we scale

What We're Looking For

Experience: 3–6 years total, with at least some experience creating content for B2B, professional services, or technical audiences. The rest can be in communications, research, journalism, or adjacent fields. Startup, agency, freelance, or substantial academic work all count.

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. We especially value candidates with backgrounds in English, creative writing, psychology, journalism, STEM communication, or other fields that trained you to synthesize complex ideas clearly.

Research background: Strongly preferred. Academic research (thesis work, lab experience), market research, UX research, or investigative journalism all apply. What matters is that you know how to ask good questions and find real answers—not just summarize what's already been said.

Core skills:

  • Exceptional writing. You can take a complex idea and make it clear, specific, and interesting to read. You have opinions about sentence structure + word choice.
  • Video editing and content repurposing abilities
  • Experience with AI tools—and the judgment to know when output is good versus just passable
  • Comfortable with data: pulling numbers, spotting patterns, making recommendations
  • Ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly. You don't need to know HubSpot or any specific platform—but you need to pick things up fast.
  • Eye for design and taste: you understand what makes for good visuals
  • Quick on your feet: you know how to problem-solve, hypothesize, and find solutions

Who you are:

  • Curious, creative, and a problem-solver
  • You care about the why behind the work— not just hitting metrics, but communicating something that matters + resonates
  • Self-directed and relentless about follow-through
  • You thrive when processes are still being built—and you want to help build them
  • You read widely, ask questions, and have passions outside of work

What You'll Need to Show Us

We're not interested in candidates who've been running the same social media playbook for years. When you apply, be prepared to demonstrate:

  • Writing samples that show range and depth. We want to see B2B content, long-form work, or anything that proves you can handle complexity—not just clever captions.
  • Evidence of original thinking. A portfolio piece where you developed the strategy, not just executed someone else's. Research you conducted. A content series you conceived.
  • Something you're genuinely curious about. In your application, tell us about an idea, question, or project that's captured your attention recently—professional or not.
  • Evidence that you can teach yourself something new: tell us about a new skill you learned + how.

What You'll Get

  • Real ownership. You'll touch everything—not get siloed into one narrow function.
  • Mentorship from the CMO. Direct access to an internationally recognized artist and interdisciplinary strategist who will invest in your development.
  • Work you can point to. A portfolio of real projects with your name on them.
  • AI fluency. Freedom and expectation to experiment with emerging tools as part of your job.
  • Room to grow. As the company scales, so can your role.
  • A sharp, curious team that's genuinely excited to work with you.
  • Technical training. Company-wide sessions from our CEO on the latest AI tools.

What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)

  • You've become the voice behind our LinkedIn and newsletter—with minimal oversight and strong engagement.
  • You've developed content frameworks or systems that make our marketing smarter and more efficient.
  • You're surfacing insights from research and data that shape our strategy.
  • Campaigns you run are contributing measurably to pipeline.
  • You've brought ideas to the table that we've implemented.
  • You've become a thought partner, not just an executor.

About Kiingo AI

Kiingo AI helps small and mid-sized businesses actually use AI—not just talk about it. We run bootcamps, peer groups, and enablement programs that turn skeptical teams into confident practitioners. Our approach is human-centered: we believe AI adoption is primarily a people skills problem.

We're a small, fast-growing team looking for people who are curious, rigorous, and ready to build something.

To apply: Send your resume, a writing sample, an interesting project you developed, and a note about what you're curious about, an interesting AI use case you've found, and how you taught yourself something new to schuyler@kiingo.com. Portfolios encouraged but not required.
