Job Description:

For our client, we are seeking a VP Data & ML Platforms to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location:

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation:

$250,000 – $300,000 annually

Responsibilities

  •  Own the company's long-term enterprise data architecture and evolve data storage solutions
  •  Drive compute-agnostic strategies ensuring data accessibility without silos
  •  Establish standards for dataset contracts and schema governance to support agile domain team development
  •  Make decisive architecture decisions around data cataloging, ingestion, and transformation
  •  Implement cost governance for data platform infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  •  Establish data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
  •  Lead the development of the AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring readiness for data-driven workflows

Qualifications

  •  15+ years in technology leadership, including 5 years in a VP role overseeing enterprise data platforms
  •  Proven ability to build and scale data platforms in high-growth, complex environments, particularly during M&A activities
  •  Expertise in modern data stack architecture: open table formats, cloud warehouses, and streaming infrastructures
  •  Experience in establishing enterprise-scale data governance programs including ownership models and compliance frameworks
  •  Strong knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure and MLOps, focusing on enabling data platform maturity for AI adoption
  •  Proven leadership in regulated sectors like healthcare or financial services
  •  Demonstrated capability to balance cost management with operational efficiency
