Vice President, Financial Consolidation & Accounting Systems | Financial Institution

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee the global financial consolidation and close process while serving as the business owner for the organization's consolidation and financial reporting systems. Reporting directly to the Global Controller, this individual will partner with senior finance leadership, regional controllers, IT, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of consolidated financial reporting across a complex global organization.

This role combines technical accounting expertise with systems leadership and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of accounting, technology, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly and quarterly global consolidation and financial close process across multiple legal entities and business lines.
• Oversee intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, equity pick-up accounting, consolidation adjustments, and balance sheet substantiation.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS where applicable.
• Serve as the business owner for Hyperion HFM, Essbase, Oracle, and related financial reporting systems.
• Partner with IT to lead system implementations, upgrades, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements.
• Maintain chart of accounts, legal entity hierarchies, system governance, and data integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on accelerating the close process, strengthening internal controls, and improving reporting efficiency.
• Own SOX controls related to the consolidation process and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Support complex corporate initiatives including reorganizations, reporting structure changes, acquisitions, and other strategic finance projects.
• Lead and develop a high-performing consolidation team while partnering closely with finance leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial consolidation, financial reporting, or corporate controllership within a large, complex organization.
• Financial services industry experience strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise with Hyperion HFM required.
• Strong experience with Essbase, Oracle, and enterprise financial reporting systems.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and large-scale finance system implementations or transformations.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience supporting SEC reporting and regulatory filings is a plus.
• Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel, analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting aggressive reporting deadlines.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on automation, controls, and operational excellence.
