About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our innovative team to focus on our data and analytics. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in data analytics and experience in product management, with a proven ability to transform complex data into actionable product insights and strategies.
This Technical Product Manager must not be limited to cross-functional documentation and design, but must clearly demonstrate the ability to develop and implement as well. This role is intentionally hands-on: you are expected to independently build data models, analyses, internal tools, and early product implementations—not just define them. You think like a product manager but work like a builder. You are comfortable jumping into data, writing code or queries, and producing real artifacts that move the business forward — especially in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data-driven product offerings, working closely with customers and internal teams to define, design, build, and deliver features that drive significant business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute the product strategy for our data-driven measurement offerings. Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
- Feature Development: Lead the end-to-end development of data products, from conceptualization to launch. When needed, collaborate with engineering, data science, design teams, and customers to create and refine product features that leverage data insights. Independently query data, build data models, create analyses, and develop functional prototypes (e.g., SQL pipelines, notebooks, dashboards, lightweight services) that can be directly used by customers or internal teams.
- Customer Collaboration: Engage with early customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product features, and identify opportunities for improvement. Translate customer needs into actionable product requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor product performance through key metrics and data analysis. Drive iterative improvements to optimize user experience and enhance business outcomes.
- Data Pipelines: Own the end-to-end data flow for prototypes, including basic ETL/ELT processes to ensure data hygiene and availability
- Market Positioning: Work with the business and marketing teams to effectively position our products in the market. Develop go-to-market strategies and support sales efforts to drive adoption and revenue growth.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on data-driven insights, measurement, and analytics. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our products at the forefront of the market.
- Communication & Leadership: Present product strategies, features, and performance insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the product team.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics or product management with a strong focus on data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. Proven track record of managing and scaling data-centric products. You've personally shipped dashboards, data models, or internal tools—not just managed teams who have. Experience with video, streaming, advertising, and real-time advertising exchanges is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of data analytics, data hygiene, and data engineering principles. Deep understanding of data analytics, data hygiene, and data engineering principles. Real-world, hands-on experience with SQL, BigQuery, Looker, and Google Cloud Platform required.
- Product Management: Strong background in defining product requirements, managing product lifecycles, and executing data-driven strategies. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights to inform product decisions.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in presenting to executives and stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
