About the Role

Join a fast-growing business revolutionizing angel investing operations. As our Strategic Angel Operations Director, you'll be the strategic architect for multiple angel communities, directly impacting hundreds of startup funding decisions while building toward expanded leadership roles as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Flow Management (60% of role)

  • Source & Evaluate: Screen applications, manage entrepreneur communications, coordinate declines/approvals  
  • Diligence: Coordinate member due diligence, prepare deal memos, manage investment committee processes  
  • Pitch Events: Plan quarterly events, prep entrepreneurs, manage logistics and follow-up  
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Quarterly reporting, update collection, investor relations  

Client Relationship Management (30% of role)

  • Own key client relationships as white-labeled Operations Director  
  • Weekly executive partnership meetings with customer leadership  
  • Member communication via newsletters, platform management, event coordination  
  • Strategic planning for network growth and operational efficiency  

Platform & Systems (10% of role)

  • Expert management of deal management platforms  
  • Work with operations associate to create/maintain SOPs, workflows, training materials, etc  
  • Supervise associates and student teams  
  • Integration with client systems (Notion, Slack, etc.)

Success Metrics (12 months)

  • Client Satisfaction: Happy customers, zero operational churn  
  • Deal Flow: Process 100% of deals within SLA (24-48 hours)  
  • Quality Deals: Support 40%+ average hit rate across all pitch events facilitated

Required Experience

  • 3+ years in operations, finance, consulting, or startup environment including client-facing experience  
  • Financial acumen - basic understanding of startup investing & diligence concepts  
  • Platform proficiency - CRM, project management, SaaS tools  
  • Executive communication - comfortable with C-level interactions  
  • AI proficient - proficient and comfortable regularly using LLMs to optimize tasks

Preferred Background

  • Angel network, VC, investment banking, or startup operations experience  
  • Familiarity with angel investor platforms (Dealum, AngelList, etc.)  
  • MBA or equivalent business experience  
  • Existing network within startup/investor ecosystem
