Job Overview – Senior Finance & Operations Associate:

Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000/year + bonus  

Location: New York, NY  

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)  

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Finance & Operations Associate in New York, NY for our client. This hybrid role oversees core accounting operations, month-end close, budgeting support, KPI tracking, investor reporting, AP/AR, and contract workflows. Ideal candidates bring strong accounting fundamentals, experience in crypto, venture capital, or high-growth start-ups, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Stripe, HubSpot, and ContractWorks.

Responsibilities as the Senior Finance & Operations Associate:

  • Strategic Finance & KPI Management: Support leadership with financial insights while building, tracking, and improving key performance metrics.  
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis: Assist with budgeting cycles and deliver monthly variance analysis to inform financial planning.  
  • Accounting Operations: Lead bookkeeping and the month-end close process while managing AP/AR, collections, and vendor payments.  
  • Investor & Compliance Reporting: Prepare investor financial reports and support Legal with tax registrations, business filings, payroll, and insurance needs.  
  • Contract & Systems Management: Oversee contract workflows in ContractWorks, manage renewals and order forms, and provide guidance to junior staff.

Qualifications for the Senior Finance & Operations Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA preferred).  
  • Experience: 3-7 years in the crypto, venture capital, or startup ecosystem with solid experience across finance and accounting operations.  
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks Online, with experience in SaaS financial workflows and tools such as Stripe, HubSpot, Concur, or ADP preferred.  
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of crypto or blockchain concepts, SaaS revenue models, and tax fundamentals for early-stage or high-growth environments.  
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the capability to supervise junior staff when needed.
