Search Marketing Specialist
Job Description:
The Sponsored Search Lead would own Amazon Sponsored Ads, Google Search and Shopping, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, Sam's Club MAP, eBay, and other retail media programs. This channel represents approximately $14 million in planned annual media investment and is currently our client's largest paid media investment category. This position would serve as dedicated channel owners responsible for strategy, execution, measurement, optimization, agency management, process development, and cross-functional alignment. Establishing internal ownership will provide greater accountability, stronger performance oversight, and reduced reliance on external partners for day-to-day channel leadership.
Role Purpose
This role would serve as the dedicated owner of client's sponsored search and retail media strategy. The role will oversee our largest paid media investment category, including Amazon Sponsored Ads, Google Search and Shopping, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, Sam's Club MAP, eBay, and emerging retail media opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ownership of Amazon Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display programs
• Strategic management of Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Sam's Club MAP, Instacart, eBay, and future retail media platforms
• Ownership of Google Search, Shopping, and Performance Max programs supporting company's website
• Keyword architecture, bidding strategy, budget allocation, and campaign optimization
• Incrementality, attribution, and measurement framework development
• Agency and platform partner leadership and accountability
• Retail event, product launch, and promotional support
• Cross-functional collaboration with eCommerce, Inventory Planning, Promotions, and Digital Marketing teams
