Product Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Product Operations Manager is responsible for enhancing our menu management and intake effectiveness through prioritization and process improvements. This role will bring a systematic approach to managing the menu intake process, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring consistency across all brands.
We are looking for an experienced Product Operations Manager to champion and evolve the Intake and Prioritization function for our Menu Management (Menu Catalog) team. In this pivotal individual contributor role, you will own and continuously improve how menu-related work is requested, evaluated, prioritized, and sized across our enterprise POS and digital ordering platforms.
Your work will directly impact the stability, quality, and efficiency of our menu configurations-touching everything from ordering and fulfillment to payments and customer experience. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Retail IT, Operations, and brand teams to ensure our menu management ecosystem runs smoothly and scales with the business.
Essential Functions
- Lead the Menu Management Requirements Intake Process:
- Own the intake process for all requests impacting menu catalogs and downstream systems, ensuring submissions are complete, clear, and aligned with business objectives.
- Advance Intake & Prioritization Frameworks:
- Utilizing scoring and prioritization methodologies, balancing stakeholder needs against opportunity, effort, risk, and capacity.
- Participate in Sizing & Capacity Planning:
- Partner with Retail IT, Digital 1st Party, 3rd Party and engineering teams to validate level-of-effort estimates, understand capacity constraints, and ensure the sizing of all requests are properly entered into Jira.
- Drive Prioritization & Conflict Resolution:
- Mediate and align competing priorities across business units, fostering transparency and consensus among stakeholders.
- JIRA & Confluence Administration:
- Design, administer, and optimize JIRA project boards, workflows, dashboards, and reports to track progress.
- Document processes, standards, and best practices in Confluence.
- Technical Impact Analysis:
- Assess how menu changes affect key systems-including ordering platforms, POS, payments, taxes, discounts, fulfillment, and third-party integrations.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Track and report on intake metrics and process health. Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, predictability, and consistent delivery.
- Cross-Functional Communication:
- Serve as the connective tissue between Product, Retail IT, Operations, Digital, and Vendor teams to ensure seamless intake and execution of menu initiatives.
- Training & Enablement:
- Lead training for brand teams on menu requirements documentation and support the rollout of menu governance and impact assessment processes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, business or related field, required.
Work Experience
- 5+ years in Product Management, Product Operations in Agile Scrum environments.
- Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience as a Product Owner, Product Ops, or Scrum Master.
- Advanced JIRA skills: building and maintaining boards, workflows, dashboards, and actionable reports.
- Strong proficiency with Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
- Proven success managing complex stakeholder relationships, resolving conflicts, and driving alignment.
- Solid understanding of intake, prioritization, and capacity planning frameworks.
- Technical fluency in systems thinking, with the ability to understand both front-end and back-end impacts across digital and POS environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for business audiences.
Skills
- Direct experience with enterprise Menu Management systems or Menu Catalogs (e.g., Qu Beyond, Olo).
- Background in Restaurant, QSR, Retail, or Digital Ordering technology environments.
- Familiarity with integrations impacting ordering, kitchen management, fulfillment, payments, and third-party systems.
- Product Operations or Agile Program Management certifications.
- Experience implementing stakeholder scoring frameworks (e.g., RICE, MoSCoW) or custom prioritization models.
