About the Company

Our client is building software that transforms how businesses manage and optimize financial operations. As an early-stage, high-growth startup, they're moving fast, shipping constantly, and solving meaningful problems for their customers. They're at an exciting inflection point. Their engineering team has grown to 16 engineers and two designers, and they're hiring their first Product Managers to help scale how product decisions are made across the company. This is a rare opportunity to define what product management looks like and have an outsized impact on the future of the business.

About the Role

We're looking for two exceptional Product Managers who thrive in startup environments and enjoy getting deep into the details. This isn't a role where you'll simply manage a backlog—you'll own the quality, execution, and direction of an entire product area. Each Product Manager will partner with a dedicated engineering team of approximately eight engineers and a product designer, owning the roadmap from discovery through delivery. You'll spend time talking to customers, identifying opportunities, writing detailed product requirements, working closely with engineers on implementation, and ensuring everything shipped meets a very high quality bar. As the first PM hires, you'll play a critical role in decentralizing product decision-making and helping the company dramatically increase product velocity.

Responsibilities

Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a core product area.
Partner daily with engineering and design to deliver high-quality products quickly.
Write detailed PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Prioritize work and manage the product backlog.
Lead sprint planning, roadmap reviews, and product discussions.
Stay close to customers to understand their workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
Make thoughtful product decisions backed by customer insight and business context.
Sweat the details and continuously improve the user experience.
Drive alignment across engineering, design, and leadership.
Raise the overall standard of product excellence across the company.

Qualifications

4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally within a high-growth startup.
Previous fintech experience is strongly preferred.
Experience owning products from discovery through launch.
Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Highly organized with exceptional execution skills.
Strong business acumen and customer empathy.
Experience partnering closely with engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Someone who enjoys being hands-on and deeply involved in product decisions rather than operating only at a strategic level.
A technical degree isn't required. We're looking for smart, business-minded product thinkers who can earn the trust of engineers, make sound product decisions, and drive execution.
