Operations Manager

Job Description:

This is an Excellent Opertaions build. Our client is a well recognized $10Bil AUM Fixed Income Fund with ~20 years of proven profits in macro & discretionary Fixed Income. They're looking for a motivated Ops professional to join the existing team. You'll play a vital role working across Trading, Risk, Compliance, A&F--working directly with the Founders, PMs & Partners in this exciting growth oriented role!

Ideal Candidate will have:

• 8 - 10 years of Operations experience MUST have 5 yrs recent Buy-Side experience  
• High-level knowledge of OMS/PMS systems and end-to-end trade lifecycle management  
• The hire will have experience across Fixed Income, Credit CDS, CDX, Equity TRS and with OTC derivatives processing / lifecycle events (swap resets) & Corporate Actions

As a Sr Operations Team Player you will be hands on in managing:

• Manage & monitor trade reconciliations, investment positions, and cash balances with external parties; Trade booking and trade allocations  
• Resolve settlement breaks for cash securities, including equities, bonds, and listed options  
• Run firm’s end of day PNL process and have ability to recognize issues that may impact PNL  
• Ensure data integrity, including updates to the security master and fee/commission schedules  
• Instill best practices approach--developing, enhancing & scaling operational processes  
• Mentoring team of ~10  
• Working with senior Leadership, PMs and ensuring Operational integrity

Must haves:

• 5+ Recent Experience within a Fixed Income or Credit Fund in managerial Operations position  
• BA and above--PMPs and Project Management certifications a plus  
• Strong collaborative leader who clearly articulates a plan/process to impact performance  
• Independent worker with attention to detail and analytical mindset  
• Self-starter, sees a bad process and wants to fix it  
• Tech stack: Enfusion, Excel/VBA/ Python, SQL, BBG
