Job Description:

My client are a trusted name in the electrical contracting industry with over 100 years of experience, currently in the midst of a transformative growth phase. Backed by a $5B parent company, they are highly established and well-funded, yet maintain internal flexibility and a close-knit culture throughout each regional office.

With a $1B backlog and a robust pipeline of large-scale projects, they strategically expanding both in terms of market sectors and operational leadership.

This Operations Manager for Central Texas role comes with Regional President responsibilities. You would have full control and autonomy across all operations including: P&L, Estimating, Project Execution, Hiring/Firing, Maintain and Building on client relations. These are key attributes my client is looking for in this individual.

They are looking for a leader to join what is a underperforming business unit, and with adequate support from above, steer the ship, provide operational guidance, and give clear direction to a good team of people.

What they will be looking for:

  • Longevity and experience working for an electrical contractor managing successful teams across a portfolio of work $20M+.
  • The business is thriving, but San Antonio is an area they are eager to improve. They will provide all the resources necessary and the people on the team are strong, they are just missing the key leader.
  • What is your experience with HR and overall business management?
  • How would you plan and make changes with the end goal of repairing the business units' processes? What techniques and processes do you currently use to resolve business related and individual issues?
  • Provide a full understanding of P&L expertise and cost completion reporting. How do you currently track and organise in your current/previous role(s).
  • What is your leadership style, how do you manage people, and where do you see the most success when leading others? Are there any areas of people management that you struggle with/could be improved?
  • Speak to your leadership style and your ability to lead hard and set a clear direction, whilst also understanding personal factors and what the team needs (professional and emotional support)
  • Problem solving, seeing upcoming issues before they occur, processes you put in place to stay ahead, past examples of successful recognition and execution.
  • Strengths / Areas of improvement / Where do you feel you would need support from the Fisk Leadership?

Compensation

  • $250k+ Base Salary
  • 40-60% Annual Bonus (based on your regions success)
  • $30k Relocation Package
