About the Opportunity:
The Operations Director leads and manages the studio's operations, ensuring integration with central corporate functions such as HR, IT, and legal. This role is responsible for strategic planning, coordinating studio initiatives, and fostering a healthy and productive team culture. It supports studio leadership in building operational capabilities and driving organizational alignment to enable the delivery of creative projects.
Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic and operational planning alongside studio leadership.
• Serve as primary liaison between the studio and central corporate functions.
• Prioritize and manage the studio leadership work backlog.
• Coordinate the rhythm of business with corporate calendars and processes.
• Drive execution of strategic initiatives and special projects.
• Oversee studio IT functions consistent with information security requirements.
• Collaborate with HR and management on talent processes including evaluation and compensation.
• Maintain comprehensive understanding of operational needs and ongoing projects.
• Manage studio operational budgets and forecasting.
• Prepare communications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build, mentor, and lead the studio Operations team.
• Promote a culture of trust, feedback, and continuous learning.
• Adjust organizational structures and rituals to align with team needs.
• Foster a rewarding and inspiring studio culture.
• Set and model standards for quality people management.
• Collaborate with studio leaders to align best practices.
Requirements:
• Proven leadership and operational management experience with teams of 75+.
• Strong project management skills including backlog and schedule management.
• Experience managing contracts and external business relationships.
• Ability to make technical decisions related to studio infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills for executive and studio-wide presentations.
• Adaptability to learn and apply new processes rapidly.
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Problem-solving skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing personnel and developing high-performance teams.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum development methodologies.
• Experience leading hybrid work teams.
• Background in the video game industry.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The estimated base pay range for this role is $204,000—$307,000 USD, varying based on geographic location.
• This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program, employee discounts, and may be eligible for a bonus package.
