Marketing Leader
Our client is seeking a founding Marketing Leader who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution. In this role, you will shape and deliver marketing strategy, drive brand visibility, manage PR efforts, and build demand across target audiences. This is initially an individual-contributor role rolling up your sleeves to deliver campaigns, content, and programs with an expectation to grow a world-class team. You will also collaborate with external partners and agencies to amplify the company’s voice in the market.
Role
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for products and services.
- Partner with leadership on planning and execution of product launches.
Hands-On Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of campaigns across digital, events, and content.
- Own SEO strategy including keyword research, technical optimization, and link building.
- Manage analytics tracking (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.) to track performance.
- Maintain and optimize website content for branding, metadata, and user flow.
Public Relations & Brand Awareness
- Collaborate with agencies to build narratives and secure media coverage.
- Oversee press releases, thought leadership pieces, and speaking opportunities.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Work with subject matter experts to produce blogs, whitepapers, and case studies.
- Create materials including presentations, collateral, campaigns, and social content.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design and host webinars, panels, and showcases.
- Manage a multi-channel content calendar across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and others.
Demand Generation & Events
- Organize participation in conferences, webinars, and industry events.
- Plan and execute demand generation campaigns for prospect engagement.
- Manage inbound/outbound lead capture processes, landing pages, and CRM workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, technical, business development, and leadership teams to align marketing efforts.
- Provide insights on trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Support sales/business development with collateral, one-pagers, and decks.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of marketing experience in technology-driven companies. Background in startups and larger organizations is a plus.
- Proven ability to plan strategically while executing tactically.
- Strong track record building integrated campaigns and driving marketing impact.
- Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into compelling stories.
- Experience with PR agencies and strong grounding in media/market positioning.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator with strong project management skills.
- Passion for technology and innovation; ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
Preferences
- Familiarity with WordPress (themes, plugins, optimization) and website analytics.
- Experience with Cloudflare or similar tools.
- Background in deep tech, SaaS, or developer-focused products.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
- Experience working across global teams.
- Start-up experience within BioTech is a plus; able to drive results with lean budgets.
Compensation
- Salary range: $200,000 – $260,000 + variable + equity
