Role Description
The Head of Finance, Strategy, Accounting is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all core financial operations of Paul Family Office. This role leads financial planning and analysis, owns budgeting processes, and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing cash flow, monitoring performance against budget, and developing forecasts to support decision-making. The role collaborates closely with leadership, CPA firm, lawyers and wealth advisors to evaluate business opportunities, analyze investments, and design financial strategies that align with long-term goals. Additional responsibilities include maintaining strong internal controls, coordinating with external accountants and advisors, overseeing tax-related information preparation, and implementing tools and processes that improve financial visibility and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to support strategic decision-making and evaluate business and investment opportunities.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clear visibility into performance.
- Candidates should possess solid Budgeting and financial planning skills to build, manage, and refine budgets and forecasts.
- Background in fund accounting, multi-state taxation, and complex entity structures. CPA preferred. Experience with Act 60 or comparable incentive regimes is a distinct advantage.
- Experience leading finance and accounting functions, ideally in a family office, entrepreneurial, entertainment, or high-growth environment.
- Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools; ability to design dashboards and metrics.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial and personal information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is a plus.
Compensation
- Base salary and discretionary bonus, commensurate with experience
Location and Travel
- Periodic travel to properties, advisors and business locations as required.
