Role Description
The General Manager at SuperDog is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and customer-focused environment. This role includes managing staff schedules, supervising team performance, and providing coaching and feedback to support individual and collective success. The General Manager will monitor inventory levels, coordinate ordering and deliveries, and maintain store presentation and cleanliness standards. They will handle customer inquiries and escalations, ensure consistent service quality, and implement policies that support safety and compliance. The role also involves tracking key performance metrics, managing budgets, supporting local marketing initiatives, and collaborating with leadership on process improvements and business growth strategies.
Qualifications
- Operational leadership skills, including managing staff and driving sales, scheduling, and performance management. Customer retention.
- Experience with customer service, conflict resolution, and maintaining high service standards.
- Ability to multi task and work extended hours as needed
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and systems used for point-of-sale, reporting, and internal communication.
- Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or service-oriented environments; experience with pet-related businesses is beneficial.
- High level of reliability, integrity, and commitment to animal welfare and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, including weekends or extended hours as needed.
- Relevant education or training in business, management, or a related field is a plus.
