Job Description:

NursePower Services is a Chicagoland leader in Pediatric Private Duty Nursing (PDN), providing in-home healthcare services for medically fragile children. We are credentialed with major healthcare payors and are focused on strengthening referral relationships, expanding awareness of our services, and increasing access to high-quality pediatric home healthcare throughout Illinois.

We are seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Director of Growth and Operations to lead both the operational management and strategic growth initiatives of the organization. This individual will play a critical role in expanding NursePower’s referral network, strengthening healthcare partnerships, increasing patient census, and supporting overall operational performance.

Position Summary

The Director of Growth and Operations will oversee operational coordination while driving strategic growth initiatives through referral development, physician outreach, hospital partnerships, DSCC engagement, and field staff recruitment.  This role requires a proactive leader who can balance day-to-day operational oversight with external business development and relationship management throughout the pediatric healthcare community.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Referral Development

  • Prospect and conduct in-person visits with pediatric physician practices, specialty clinics, and referral sources to establish referral partnerships
  • Build relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, and healthcare providers serving pediatric patients requiring home healthcare services
  • Round regularly with DSCC case managers and strengthen NursePower’s visibility and reputation within the DSCC community
  • Promote NursePower’s pediatric home healthcare services including PDN, therapy, and infusion services
  • Track referral activity, pipeline growth, and partnership development through CRM systems and ongoing outreach efforts

Operations & Agency Management

  • Act as an operational liaison between patients, families, field nurses, healthcare providers, and payors
  • Support scheduling coordination, staffing workflows, and EMR/EVV operational compliance
  • Assist with onboarding coordination, credential tracking, and operational documentation management
  • Support regulatory readiness and non-clinical compliance efforts related to IDPH, DSCC, ACHC, and healthcare payors
  • Coordinate closely with clinical, recruiting, and operational teams to align staffing capacity with patient growth

Recruitment & Staffing Support

  • Lead recruitment efforts for pediatric field clinicians including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and therapy staff
  • Manage candidate engagement, pipeline development, onboarding coordination, and recruiting follow-up
  • Develop recruiting partnerships and sourcing strategies to support staffing growth
  • Support retention efforts through strong communication and field staff engagement
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure staffing support aligns with operational and growth goals

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in pediatric home health, private duty nursing, healthcare staffing, or healthcare business development
  • Strong understanding of PDN operations, Medicaid programs, and pediatric home healthcare services
  • Experience building referral relationships with hospitals, physician offices, discharge planners, and case managers
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience with EMR, CRM, and healthcare staffing software platforms preferred
