Director of Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee multiple production facilities and ensure consistent, high-performing operations across the organization. This leader will guide plant teams, drive operational excellence, strengthen quality and safety performance, and support strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has proven multi-site leadership experience in dairy/food manufacturing or a related industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to multiple manufacturing sites.
• Standardize operational processes, KPIs, and best practices across all locations.
• Drive improvements in productivity, throughput, equipment efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Support and develop plant leaders, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR) to meet company objectives.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
• Develop and manage site-level budgets, forecasts, and operational plans.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive operations leadership, with at least 3 years in a multi-site role.
• Experience in food, dairy, or CPG manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and food safety standards (SQF, HACCP, USDA/FDA).
• Proven track record improving operational performance and leading teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
