About RISE

RISE is a pioneering technology company founded in 2021 in France, dedicated to making business aviation more efficient. RISE uses advanced mathematics and AI to optimize business jet fleet schedules and improve operational and financial performance; the solution has been recognized as an “Efficient Solution” by the Solar Impulse Foundation.

RISE is supported by leading industry partners including Airbus and Starburst.aero. Our team is made of experts in aviation, technology, data science, and product development.

Role Overview

RISE is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer based in the United States, reporting directly to the CEO. The role is split 50/50 between global go-to-market strategy and mid to long-term product strategy. RISE is a French company scaling internationally. The Americas is our priority growth market and the reason this role sits there, but the go-to-market strategy has a worldwide scope.

These two halves belong together. What operators need from an optimization layer should shape the roadmap, and the roadmap should sharpen how RISE sells. We are looking for someone who can hold both sides of that loop.

This is a strategy role, not a sales management role. Commercial execution sits with our business development team in each region. The Chief Strategy Officer works alongside them to define the playbook and the approach for strategic accounts and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Global Go-to-Market Strategy (50%)

  • Define RISE’s global go-to-market strategy: segmentation, target profiles, positioning, pricing, and channel mix
  • Adapt that strategy to regional realities, starting with the Americas, where RISE is scaling next
  • Translate RISE’s core thesis, that optimization is the key to resilient operations, into arguments and materials that land with operator leadership
  • Own market and competitive intelligence across regions, and turn it into commercial choices
  • Decide in collaboration with the Business Development team where RISE invests its commercial attention: which segments, which partnerships, which events
  • Turn existing customer base into proof: quantified results, reference material, and a repeatable value case

Product Strategy (50%)

  • Own the 12 to 36 month product direction jointly with the CEO and engineering leadership
  • Convert field signal into roadmap decisions, separating what operators ask for from what their operation actually needs
  • Define how OPTIRISE™ and AVISCORE™ converge into a single decision-support layer
  • Make build, partner, or integrate calls on the integration surface: scheduling systems, flight ops platforms, and data sources
  • Define how RISE measures and proves value, including efficiency benchmarks, savings attribution, and sustainability reporting

Profile and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience, including senior leadership in B2B software, aviation technology, or aviation operations
  • A track record of shaping both commercial strategy and product direction, and comfort moving between the two in the same day
  • Working knowledge of the business aviation ecosystem, with real depth in at least one major market: charter and Part 135 operators, fractional providers, or corporate flight departments
  • Enough technical depth to reason about what an optimization engine can and cannot do, without needing to build it
  • Comfort in early-stage environments where structure is built rather than inherited, and credibility with both operators and executives
  • Fluency in English required; French, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the Americas and Europe

Why join RISE?

  • Join a fast-growing company tackling one of aviation’s hardest operational problems on a global scale
  • Executive scope with real ownership over where the company and the product go next, in a small and fast-moving international team
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based upside and equity
