What you will do
- Run the CEO operating system. Keep one clear view of the CEO’s priorities, open decisions, commitments and delegated work, and spot conflicts before they lead to mixed instructions or wasted effort.
- Prepare the decisions that matter. Turn incomplete or complex information into short briefs setting out the question, recommendation, options, key facts, risks, owner and decision date.
- Close the loop. Record decisions, owners, deadlines and reasoning, make sure every affected leader hears the same direction, and track commitments through to completion.
- Protect the CEO’s time. Shape the calendar around strategy, the leadership team, key counterparties, the Board and the decisions only he can make, and prepare him for important conversations.
- Be a thought partner on strategy. Work with the CEO on priorities such as new credit products, distribution partnerships and capital allocation. Bring your own view and turn the conclusion into a plan.
- Lead CEO-sponsored projects. Own a small number of cross-functional initiatives that need the CEO’s authority and have no natural owner, drive them to a result, then hand them over.
- Support investor and Board work. Draft planning documents, strategy narratives and investor materials, bring together inputs from across the business, and represent the CEO in selected conversations.
- Give private, candid challenge. Tell the CEO when an issue is under-framed, a deadline is artificial or a request is off-priority, and make sure bad news reaches him early.
Who we are looking for
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a demanding environment such as investment banking, management consulting, private capital or corporate strategy, ideally followed by a strategy, corporate development or business operations role at a high-growth fintech, digital asset or asset management business.
- A track record of working directly with senior executives on high-stakes decisions, complex projects or Board-level matters.
- Strong commercial and financial judgement across growth, capital markets, credit, product, technology, legal and finance, with examples of recommendations that changed a decision.
- Concise writing. You can turn a large amount of incomplete information into a one-page recommendation a busy executive can act on.
- High agency and reliable follow-through. You take ambiguous goals, bring structure and drive them to closure.
- The confidence to challenge a founder directly while keeping the trust of the wider leadership team.
- Discretion and low ego. You handle sensitive information well and are comfortable making others more effective rather than building your own authority.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, digital assets or private credit is strongly preferred, as is comfort working in a 24/7 market.
What success looks like
In your first 90 days you will have set up a single priority and decision system for the CEO, cut low-value demands on his calendar, improved how decisions are prepared, and taken ownership of at least one strategic initiative.
You will know it is working when:
- the CEO stays focused on a small number of company-wide priorities
- important decisions arrive with a clear recommendation, the numbers behind it and one owner
- decisions that have been delegated stay delegated unless new facts require escalation
- the leadership team sees faster decisions and clearer direction
- CEO-sponsored projects deliver and transfer cleanly to permanent owners
- the CEO relies on you for judgement as well as execution
Package
