Chief of Staff to the CEO

Location: New York City (On-site, 5 days/week)

About the Role: We're seeking a Chief of Staff who will serve as a strategic problem solver and operational force-multiplier for our CEO. You'll guide critical project timelines, manage complex cross-functional initiatives, and take ownership of business areas that require specialized focus. This role is perfect for candidates with 2-6 years in investment banking, consulting, or high-growth tech who want to fast-track into operating leadership while directly shaping company strategy.

Responsibilities

Strategic Problem Solving & Operational Leadership

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and develop systematic solutions before they impact the CEO's bandwidth
  • Guide and own 30/60/90-day project timelines across Growth, Product, and Operations teams
  • Build frameworks for recurring business challenges and create scalable processes
  • Drive cross-functional projects to completion, serving as the central coordinator for complex initiatives

Executive Partnership & Business Management

  • Manage CEO calendar, communications, and travel with strategic prioritization
  • Take full ownership of board preparation, investor updates, and stakeholder communications
  • Attend high-stakes meetings as a strategic thought partner, not just a note-taker
  • Draft company memos and strategic documents that capture the CEO's vision and voice

Data-Driven Operations

  • Build and maintain executive dashboards tracking GMV, activation, and critical business KPIs
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Create early warning systems for potential roadblocks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Own the operational cadence that keeps leadership informed and aligned

Organizational Excellence

  • Partner with Talent team to source and close top candidates; maintain comprehensive recruiting pipeline analytics
  • Design and execute company-wide communication strategies, including all-hands meetings and off-sites
  • Monitor team health and proactively recommend actions to strengthen culture and performance
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational challenges outside the CEO's core expertise

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 2-6 years in investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or high-growth tech operations
  • Demonstrated track record of solving complex, ambiguous problems independently
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and driving projects across different functions
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-moving environments while maintaining attention to detail

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization tools
  • Strong project management skills with experience guiding operational timelines
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities
  • Low-ego, high-ownership mindset with genuine interest in enabling others' success

Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site presence in NYC required
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, rapidly evolving situations
  • Thrives in a results-oriented, high-performance culture

Pay range and compensation package

  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity.
  • Unlimited PTO (advance notice policy applies).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Direct visibility into strategic decision-making and rapid career progression.
  • High-performance, no-politics culture focused on results.
