Business Operations Manager - Lending

Job Description:

Valon is on a mission to empower every homeowner by improving the homeownership experience through technology, focusing on mortgage servicing and lending. The Lending team builds and operates Valon’s Lending business, offering refinance, home purchase, and home equity mortgage loans. The Business Operations team streamlines management and strategic planning of the Lending business, working cross-functionally to drive efficiency and scale. The Business Operations Manager will work with leadership and various teams to move critical business metrics, streamline operations, and handle strategic planning.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving efficiencies in mortgage operations and capital markets
• Contributing to company strategy by analyzing KPIs
• Ensuring smooth lending operations
• Managing vendor and investor relationships
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams
• Translating strategy into operations
• Understanding the complex industry.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in operations, capital markets, business operations, or strategic finance, preferably in startups, private equity, investment banking, or consulting. Strong communication, process optimization, attention to detail, and data skills are preferred.
