Job Description:

For our client, we are seeking a AVP - Accounting & Financial Reporting to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a healthcare environment.

Location:

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation:

$190,000 – $225,000 annually

Responsibilities

  •  Lead preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements
  •  Oversee preparation of lender and board financial reporting packages
  •  Ensure financial reporting compliance with U.S. GAAP
  •  Partner with CAO and CFO on company readiness initiatives
  •  Coordinate with external auditors on financial reporting matters
  •  Lead accounting analysis for complex transactions
  •  Act as liaison with external auditors on technical accounting matters
  •  Oversee accounting for software capitalization under ASC 350-40
  •  Strengthen processes for recording technology-related expenditures
  •  Support accounting for software licensing and commercialization initiatives
  •  Ensure consistent accounting treatment across Clinical and Technology segments
  •  Lead and develop high-performing teams in financial reporting and technical accounting
  •  Build scalable organization for multi-billion-dollar enterprise
  •  Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred)
  •  CPA required
  •  10-15+ years of accounting experience
  •  Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
  •  Experience in large, complex organizations
  •  Public company/SEC experience preferred
  •  Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  •  Strong technical accounting research and memo preparation experience
  •  Experience in leading and developing teams
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
